This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee the communications workstream, including its scope, schedule, resources, and deliverables.
• Manage IT/informatics project activities utilizing established life cycle and project management methodologies.
• Monitor costs, schedules, and performance progress.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with communications and change-support initiatives.
• Elevate issues along with proposed solutions.
• Supervise and quality-review the outputs of communications and technical writing personnel.
• Collaborate with change management, training, and informatics teams to ensure alignment of messaging with workflow and system changes.
• Implement SAFe Lean-Agile principles and practices to enhance value and maintain organizational change and operational excellence.
• Prepare project-level contributions for weekly task reports, bi-monthly budget trackers, and monthly progress reports.
• Assist in stabilization, recovery, and Post Go-Live operations of the Oracle Health Federal EHR for the VHA Office of Clinical Informatics.
• Bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience managing Information Technology-related projects.
• Familiarity with life cycle and project management methodologies, including tracking costs, schedules, and performance.
• Proven understanding of SAFe Lean-Agile principles and practices.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable VA background investigation at the Low Risk / NACI level.
• Electronic fingerprinting and e-QIP submission are required.
• All work must be conducted within the United States.
• Willingness to undertake occasional CONUS travel to VA Medical Centers, approximately 5-day site visits.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• A working knowledge of SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI is strongly preferred.
• PMP or an equivalent project management certification is desired.
• Experience in leading communications or change-focused workstreams in healthcare/health IT programs is preferred.
• Familiarity with VA/VHA or federal health experience and EHR modernization initiatives is desirable.
• Remote work enabled through VA-approved remote access (Citrix Access Gateway).
• Occasional CONUS travel to VA Medical Centers to support EHR Go-Live and Post Go-Live activities.
