This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Produce video and graphic materials for social media, advertising, and e-learning platforms.
• Assist in the creation and execution of communication strategies for public awareness initiatives.
• Generate program resources and messaging to enhance community stewardship efforts and encourage participation in ISCBC’s programs and events.
• Facilitate the planning and execution of internal engagement activities, including weekly newsletters and virtual coffee chats.
• Aid in media and press-related activities by collecting information for press releases, helping with interview preparations, and maintaining records of media coverage for reporting purposes.
• Proficient in writing and storytelling to effectively engage the audience.
• Experience with online communication tools such as social media platforms, email systems, or website content management.
• Proven experience in creating and publishing social media content for an organization, initiative, or campaign.
• Ideally, familiarity with graphic design.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable taking the initiative.
• Background or education in communications, marketing, or a related field, including academic or volunteer experience.
• Knowledge of or interest in invasive species and stewardship practices.
