Communications Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Formulates and implements strategic communication and engagement initiatives.

• Produces a variety of content for both digital and print media.

• Creates, reviews, and refines website content.

• Assesses and measures the effectiveness of communication strategies.

• Crafts content for websites and various communication platforms.

• Establishes success metrics for communication efforts.

• Compiles reports and presentations for SWITCH BC’s Board of Directors.

• Provides consistent updates on communication deliverables.

• Develops and sustains tools to effectively support the team.

• Performs additional related duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A level of education, training, and experience that is equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in communications, design, marketing, journalism, or media arts.

• Three to five (3-5) years of relevant, recent experience in strategic communications within healthcare, government, occupational health and safety, or similar sectors.

• Experience in graphic design, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and/or app development is advantageous.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficiency in graphic design, including familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Powtoons.

• Experience in creating, editing, and updating website content.

• Served as the primary communication contact for projects and/or programs.

• Capability to analyze data and formulate strategic solutions.

• Knowledge of health, safety, or government communication principles.
