Commissioning Technician/Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Guam.

📋 Description

• As a Commissioning Technician, you will be an integral part of our team, engaged in various simultaneous projects providing building commissioning services for both new constructions and existing facilities across commercial, institutional, and educational sectors.

• You will collaborate closely within a team setting on multiple projects, while also being capable of working independently when necessary and meeting deadlines.

• You possess the ability to independently develop or review testing procedures based on contract documents, particularly drawings and specifications.

• You will have the opportunity to create documentation such as the Owner’s Project Requirements.

• You are expected to have a solid understanding of industry standards and best practices.

• You will assist the Commissioning Engineer in preparing checklists for installation verification and functional performance testing of equipment and integrated systems.

• You will conduct field verification of equipment installation and startup, documenting any commissioning issues.

• You will supervise or observe equipment startups as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in building commissioning, HVAC, Automatic Temperature Controls, and/or Testing and Balancing.

• Strong foundational knowledge in HVAC, hydronics, automatic temperature controls, and the design, installation, and operation of renewable energy systems.

• Hands-on experience in testing, startup, and troubleshooting HVAC systems, including but not limited to cooling towers, chillers, packaged rooftop units, ERUs, DOAS, AHUs, VRFs, and VFDs for hospitals, schools, and commercial and institutional buildings.

• Additional electrical experience with equipment such as emergency generators, ATS, UPS, PDUs, and power monitoring systems is preferred.

• Ability to work autonomously and manage time efficiently.

• Willingness to travel to job sites daily in Guam.
