📋 Description

• Evaluate technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements related to commissioning and take the lead in developing project-specific commissioning plans and procedures.

• Create and implement commissioning plans along with integrated commissioning schedules.

• Organize commissioning coordination meetings to advance the commissioning phase.

• Facilitate daily commissioning plan meetings during the commissioning phase.

• Design and maintain the commissioning resource plan for the project.

• Coordinate and supervise all project commissioning activities with Owner representatives, OEM technical field advisors, third-party testing providers, electrical utility representatives, and both internal and external project team members, including engineering, construction, and quality assurance, to ensure coherence in commissioning activities.

• Direct the site commissioning team, offering guidance, training, and support to guarantee efficient and effective task execution.

• Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning tests, encompassing performance testing, functional testing, and reliability testing of all solar plant systems, Substation (HV) systems, and Energy Storage (BESS) systems, ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.

• Guarantee that all commissioning activities adhere to industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.

• Ensure that tests related to Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, Start-up, and Performance Testing activities are observed, data is recorded, and necessary documentation is managed according to project requirements.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the commissioning process to ensure optimal performance of solar plant systems, Energy Storage systems, and Substation systems.

• Compile comprehensive commissioning reports that document all commissioning activities, test results, encountered issues, and corrective measures taken.

• Monitor and report on commissioning progress.

• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion.

• Assist in completing documentation for mechanical and substantial completion as well as commercial operation.

• Aid in the development of initial energization plans, switching procedures, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Permit to Work, Red Rope, and System Under Test (SUT) programs.

• Identify, analyze, and propose corrective actions to address technical issues discovered during commissioning or initial operation.

• Facilitate a structured transition to the Operations and Maintenance team, including training and procedures.

• Contribute to the development and refinement of methodologies, tools, and standards to support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Stay updated on industry best practices and work methods related to testing and/or commissioning.

• Enhance commissioning processes by integrating feedback and lessons learned from completed projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in leading complex project commissioning activities.

• Proficiency with the technical, regulatory, and contractual requirements of utility-scale solar/BESS/SCADA/HV commissioning.

• 3 or more years of experience in a direct management position.

• Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) is preferred.

• Understanding of testing procedures for electrical and communication systems.

• Knowledge of project management principles, including safety leadership, schedule logic and implementation, procurement, and construction means and methods.

• Capability to manage project teams and collaborate with involved parties.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.

• Excellent organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.

• Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Familiarity with relevant industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
