This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Plan, schedule, and execute the complete life cycle commissioning of essential facilities.
• Provide technical support and leadership across various commissioning projects.
• Engage in MEP design reviews and functional testing of intricate electrical and mechanical systems.
• Assist with project initiation, kickoffs, RFIs, submittals, resource forecasting, scheduling, and project meetings.
• Coordinate or execute QA/QC and commissioning plans and specifications.
• Oversee startup, cutover, pre-functional and functional testing, as well as project closeout.
• Prepare both project progress reports and final commissioning reports.
• Monitor project budgets, profitability, margins, bill rates, and utilization.
• Communicate change-order and additional-fee requirements to clients effectively.
• Identify project risks and implement strategies for mitigation.
• Assist in proposals, presentations, marketing, and business development initiatives.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
• Inspect, validate, functionally test, verify, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment on-site.
• Participate in factory witness testing and observe startup activities.
• Direct vendors and contractors during testing phases.
• Develop commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, and functional performance test scripts.
• Complete assigned tasks and deliverables punctually and within budget.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 4–7 years of experience in commissioning, construction management, or MEP systems within mission-critical or critical-facility environments.
• Experience in MEP design review and functional testing of complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Proven experience in assisting with or executing full life cycle commissioning activities, including pre-functional and functional testing and project closeout.
• Experience working directly with owners, designers, contractors, subcontractors, and other trades in a construction or commissioning context.
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls system principles.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Capability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance workflows and optimize operational processes.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
• Adherence to company and site safety requirements.
• Proficient in analyzing and preparing documents, reports, and correspondence.
• Effective oral and written communication of both technical and non-technical information.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team under minimal supervision.
• Skill in executing commissioning activities on projects with complex scope.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Must be able to obtain NFPA 70E / OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifications as required.
• Valid driver's license and capability to rent vehicles.
• Must reside near a major airport.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% domestically, including all 50 U.S. states.
• Must possess a valid REAL ID or an acceptable alternative, such as a passport, for applicable domestic air travel effective May 7, 2025.
• Certification as a Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP), or equivalent industry certification is preferred.
