This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and oversee a team of commissioning engineers and technicians, coordinating commissioning activities for greenfield, brownfield, and operational projects involving mechanical and electrical equipment like turbines, boilers, pumps, generators, and related power plant machinery.
• Spearhead the commissioning process by managing system testing, troubleshooting, and integration efforts to ensure a seamless and efficient plant startup and transition.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and safety teams to strategize and execute commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with project schedules and quality standards.
• Develop, implement, and enforce commissioning protocols and procedures to create a safe and effective working environment, with a focus on adherence to industry standards and regulations.
• Monitor and evaluate equipment performance during the commissioning phase, recommending and supervising necessary adjustments, optimizations, and upgrades to achieve operational excellence.
• Maintain comprehensive records of commissioning activities, system integrations, equipment performance, and compliance metrics for the purposes of reporting, validation, and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and assistance to commissioning teams, plant operators, and other stakeholders, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Ensure that installed progress and work outputs align with drawings, specifications, and contractual obligations.
• Identify any discrepancies or changes in work placement.
• Monitor work progress and emphasize key activity developments in daily reports.
• Support our partners and project stakeholders by facilitating early and frequent communication when issues arise, and by devising innovative solutions to project challenges.
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in commissioning within the power generation industry, demonstrating a solid history of leadership and management.
• Extensive technical knowledge and expertise in power plant equipment, systems, and commissioning processes, including turbines, boilers, pumps, and auxiliary systems.
• Proven mastery of commissioning methodologies, troubleshooting, and system integration, paired with strategic thinking and analytical skills.
• Acquaintance with industry regulations, codes, standards, and best practices pertinent to power plant electrical operations, maintenance, and safety.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for leading, motivating, and effectively collaborating across teams and stakeholders.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel and undertake assignments across various locations in the United States as necessary.
