• Oversee and lead a team of commissioning engineers and technicians, coordinating commissioning activities for greenfield, brownfield, and operational projects on mechanical and electrical equipment such as turbines, boilers, pumps, generators, and associated power plant apparatus.
• Propel the commissioning process by supervising system testing, troubleshooting, and integration efforts to ensure a seamless and efficient startup and handover of the plant.
• Work in close collaboration with engineering, operations, and safety departments to plan and execute commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with project timelines and quality benchmarks.
• Design, implement, and enforce commissioning protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and effective work environment, prioritizing adherence to industry standards and regulations.
• Observe and evaluate equipment performance during the commissioning phase, suggesting and supervising necessary adjustments, optimizations, and upgrades to achieve operational excellence.
• Maintain comprehensive records of commissioning activities, system integrations, equipment performance, and compliance metrics for reporting, validation, and continuous improvement purposes.
• Offer technical leadership, guidance, and support to commissioning teams, plant operators, and other stakeholders, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Ensure that the installed progress and output align with drawings, specifications, and contractual obligations.
• Identify and communicate any variances or changes in the work placement.
• Monitor work progress and highlight significant activity developments in daily reports.
• Assist our partners and project stakeholders in proactive communication when issues arise and devise creative solutions to project challenges.
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in commissioning within the power generation sector, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
• Extensive technical knowledge and expertise in power plant equipment, systems, and commissioning processes, including turbines, boilers, pumps, and auxiliary systems.
• Established proficiency in commissioning methodologies, troubleshooting, and system integration, along with strategic thinking and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with industry regulations, codes & standards, and best practices related to power plant electrical operations, maintenance, and safety.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to lead, motivate, and collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel and undertake assignments across various locations in the United States as needed.
