Commissioning Engineer – Power Generation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Deliver expert diagnostic assistance for intricate and challenging warranty and non-warranty repair situations, facilitating precise root cause identification and resolution.

• Develop and oversee comprehensive repair strategies for complex problems, guaranteeing safe, effective, and long-lasting repair results.

• Thoroughly and succinctly document diagnostic conclusions and repair actions in the relevant systems to ensure traceability, learning, and compliance.

• Manage and coordinate the escalation of highly intricate cases to the appropriate technical support levels for timely and effective resolution.

• Spearhead initiatives for improving diagnostic support and escalation processes to boost efficiency, quality, and consistency throughout the support network.

• Maintain extensive technical knowledge of both current and new Cummins products to provide authoritative advice and support for evolving technologies.

• Investigate product issues directly at customer or dealer sites and disseminate clear, actionable technical communications across the designated region.

• Mentor and coach regional technicians to enhance their capabilities, increase repair effectiveness, and elevate Cummins service performance while promoting service programs that drive growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of on-site experience in the power generation industry.

• Familiarity with generator paralleling systems.

• Knowledge of electrical switchgear systems.

• Excellent communication skills, including the capacity to organize and lead meetings and communicate effectively through verbal and technology-based methods.

• Proficiency in electrical system design and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

• Experience with control systems, data networks, and PLCs (preferred).

• A college, university, or technical degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience (preferred).
