Commissioning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the implementation of detailed commissioning plans and offer technical guidance for system integration testing and validation.

• Set up and calibrate intricate control systems, including VSDs, instruments, metering, PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications.

• Develop and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) in collaboration with customers.

• Address complex technical challenges during startup phases and provide expert troubleshooting in high-pressure situations.

• Coach and train customer staff and junior engineers on system operation and maintenance practices.

• Collaborate with project teams, clients, and subcontractors while ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience leading complex commissioning programs in industrial environments.

• In-depth knowledge of PLC programming (Allen-Bradley), SCADA platforms (FactoryTalk, ICONICS), and HMI configuration.

• Demonstrated experience with multi-vendor system integration, encompassing PLC, HMI, SCADA, and field instrumentation.

• Strong leadership and customer engagement abilities, with at least 5 years acting as the primary technical authority during critical project phases.

• Familiarity with industrial safety standards (IEC 61508, IEC 61511) and communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, OPC/OPC-UA).
