Commissioning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Ensure the Service portfolio is delivered effectively in compliance with ABB standard processes and safety protocols.

• Provide technical support and address issues within your area of expertise through remote assistance or on-site service.

• Offer technical consulting on Service solutions to both management and customers.

• Identify and implement effective Service applications, equipment, and methodologies to create new Service offerings.

• Foster customer relationships and maintain consistent communication with key clients.

• Recognize new sales opportunities while proactively engaging with customers and ABB sales teams.

• Prepare all necessary documents and reports for customer representative approval.

• Timely report work completed and follow up as necessary.

• Strive to minimize costs and enhance the quality of service and project delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree, HNC/D, or equivalent qualification in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.

• Over 5 years of experience in Switchgear Commissioning / Testing.

• Specialized knowledge in electrical protection commissioning.

• Significant experience with SCADA applications, development, and field support.

• Strong background in Low/Medium-Voltage (LV/11kV/33kV) electrical distribution.

• Proficiency in MS Office, ABB PCM600 Software, and Omicron Test Universe.

• Comprehensive understanding of current Health & Safety legislation.

• Exhibit excellent customer focus and time management skills.

• Possess a mindset geared towards innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.

• Valid UK driving licence is required.
