Commercial Title Examiner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee a diverse range of projects that vary in complexity from single-property to multi-property commercial transactions, where every detail is crucial.

• Research, analyze, and link data across different counties and jurisdictions.

• Confirm legal property descriptions by reading, interpreting, and plotting them accurately.

• Assess and review public records such as leases, subleases, deeds, liens, and easements to ascertain ownership and identify any title-related limitations.

• Compile findings and generate title commitments and reports with precision and clarity.

• Detect and address discrepancies or absent information through diligent research and documentation.

• Partner with underwriters and internal teams to guarantee accuracy and efficiency throughout the title process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in commercial title insurance, including title searching, examining, and writing commitments.

• Familiarity with applicable legal and real estate terminology.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat/Pro, online resources, property data platforms, and the capacity to learn company-specific systems.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information and solve problems independently.

• Highly organized with a strong ability to perform in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, and paperless environment.

• Excellent and professional communication skills with a focus on customer service.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
