• Oversee and expand a portfolio of designated commercial accounts.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities across various commercial segments, including guides & outfitters, camps, resorts, educational institutions, experiential operators, outdoor field teams, and other emerging channel prospects.
• Prospect and establish new accounts that align with Rocky Talkie’s growth objectives.
• Foster strong, long-lasting customer relationships through consistent communication, training, field visits, and ongoing support.
• Conduct regular visits to accounts, sales calls, and product demonstrations.
• Negotiate and finalize sales opportunities within the commercial sector.
• Represent Rocky Talkie at trade shows, networking events, industry gatherings, and client meetings.
• Assist in identifying and conveying emerging market opportunities, customer requirements, and product feedback to bolster Rocky Talkie’s long-term commercial strategy.
• Collaborate with the Sales Manager to prioritize immediate revenue opportunities while acknowledging longer-term strategic goals for the organization.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and shifting customer needs across commercial outdoor markets.
• Aid in refining sales messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies as the commercial channel evolves.
• Work closely with Sales, CX, and Operations teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities within HubSpot CRM.
• Monitor and report on sales activities, account performance, and insights from the commercial channel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
• A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated success in sales within the outdoor industry or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing new business through proactive outreach and relationship management.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated individual comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
• Ability to balance short-term revenue generation with long-term relationship and channel development.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms such as HubSpot is preferred.
• Experience in outdoor specialty retail, experiential industries, or commercial outdoor operations is preferred.
• A passion for outdoor recreation and alignment with Rocky Talkie’s brand values is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight trips.
