This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Collaborate with restaurant and hospitality managers to deliver comprehensive service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other specialized food service equipment.
• Exhibit mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting capabilities, and proficiency in interpreting diagrams and schematics.
• Effectively troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Commercial Kitchen Equipment, encompassing cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other specialized food service appliances.
• Communicate with manufacturers as necessary to assist with diagnoses and parts identification.
• Consult the Technical Assistance Group for technical support while on-site.
• Timely and professionally install all parts ordered for the customer in accordance with company policy.
• Promote and recommend additional services provided by Smart Care to customers as required.
• Produce accurate and timely administrative documents, including work orders, time reports, receipts, and truck stock inventory.
• Adhere to safe work practices and accident prevention protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle, along with precise parts and tool inventory.
• Sustain productivity levels in alignment with company standards.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Willingness and ability to participate in the emergency on-call rotation, which includes nights and weekends.
• Availability for occasional overnight travel as assigned.
• Relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications (e.g., EPA, CFESA) are preferred.
• Self-motivated with a demonstrated capacity to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision is preferred.
• On-the-job training with access to on-demand technical support.
• Continuous formal hands-on and classroom training at our National Training Kitchen.
• Professional CFESA certifications with opportunities for advancement.
