This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.
• In this position, you will concentrate on the Commercial Construction market sector in the United States.
• The ideal candidate will be tasked with crafting intricate proposals by evaluating RFP documents and executing strategic plans to develop proposals that are Clean, Competitive, Compliant, and Compelling.
• This role requires product configuration and collaboration with other proposal resources as necessary.
• The objective is to generate clean, executable orders that strike a balance between market competitiveness, company profitability, and customer requirements.
• A comprehensive understanding of the diverse products and markets served by the ABB Electrification business is crucial for this role.
• Develop clean, competitive, compliant, and compelling proposals for projects within the Commercial Contractor sector.
• Ensure adherence to ABB processes while concentrating on high-probability and high-profitability opportunities.
• Work closely with factory proposal teams, application engineers, product managers, and Sales Managers/Reps to direct proposal strategy and maintain clear, concise communication across Electrification Products U.S.
• Organize and engage in Project Strategy and Risk Meetings to align on essential priorities and guarantee project success.
• Proactively identify challenges early and collaborate across teams to devise solutions.
• Approach every opportunity with commercial intensity—championing customer needs while aligning with strategic business goals.
• Seek training, resources, and mentorship to facilitate continuous development.
• Collaborate with project management to ensure that awarded projects are both executable and profitable from the outset.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in Engineering or a closely related field is strongly preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge in electrical distribution systems, including familiarity with ABB’s product portfolio, industry design standards, and configuration tools (e.g., ABB Empower).
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in the electrical distribution or a related sector, with at least 5 years dedicated to sales and project quotations.
• Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with the capacity to build relationships and lead cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in digital tools for remote work and organization, such as Microsoft Outlook, Salesforce.com, Microsoft Teams, and similar platforms.
• Candidates must have current authorization to work in the United States for ABB; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
