This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Conduct thorough evaluations of plans to ensure code compliance, identifying any missing information and inconsistencies.
β’ Assess review comments and markups for precision while clarifying the rationale behind compliance.
β’ Provide concise written clarifications regarding the review and compliance rationale.
β’ Proficiency in using a straightforward web application interface is required; familiarity with screens and PDF plan reviews is essential.
β’ Minimum of 15 years of commercial experience with significant hands-on QA/QC, as well as extensive experience in permit and correction letters.
β’ Essential comfort with reviewing plans on-screen within a web app environment.
β’ ICC certification (Building/Combination/Fire Plans Examiner or MCP) or an equivalent certification is mandatory.
β’ Must be a licensed or credentialed professional: RA, PE/SE, FPE, CASp, or hold an ICC specialty certification (Accessibility, Fire, Structural, or Energy Plans Examiner; MCP).
β’ At least 10 years of commercial experience, including over 5 years of commercial plan review with an AHJ or a third-party review firm (such as SAFEbuilt, Interwest, Willdan, NV5, CSG, or similar).
β’ (Preferred) CASp certification or experience with CA/FL codes (CBC, Title 24, FBC).
β’ Remote and flexible work arrangement (~8β24 hours per month to start, allowing you to work at your own pace and schedule).
