Commercial Mortgage Underwriting Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate underwriting deals, document essential information, and report findings to the manager.

• Gather and arrange all necessary documentation and information pertaining to deals.

• Monitor the deal pipeline and ensure that all deals are regularly updated.

• Provide bi-daily updates on all active deals within the pipeline.

• Facilitate deal flow and guarantee that no elements are overlooked or postponed.

• Analyze financial statements and related documents concerning loan applications.

• Assist in creating underwriting summaries and presentations for deals.

• Communicate with internal teams to obtain missing information and ensure the timely processing of deals.

• Carry out additional tasks related to the role.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• An innovative thinker, proactive, dependable, organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and confident.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on collaboration.

• Over 1.5 years of experience in underwriting for a commercial mortgage broker.

• High level of accountability and dependability.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.

• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and see them through to completion.

• Proactive mindset to advance deals and maintain workflow efficiency.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, especially for underwriting and financial analysis.

• Positive attitude with a quick learning and adaptation ability.

• Capability to comprehend and adhere to established processes accurately with minimal oversight.

• Availability to work in alignment with U.S. Eastern Time (New York time) business hours for at least four hours.

• Interest in long-term career prospects.

• Access to a reliable computer (Windows 10 or newer), dual monitors, and stable high-speed internet.
