This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.
• Oversee the renewal process for designated accounts, which includes marketing efforts (as necessary) and placement activities.
• Collaborate with producers to assess exposures, past loss experiences, and coverage requirements for clients.
• Generate high-quality, detailed submissions to carriers by utilizing agency management and various application software, in accordance with agency protocols.
• Engage in negotiations with carriers to obtain extensive coverage along with competitive pricing and terms for current clients.
• Develop and prepare impactful proposals for producers to utilize in securing renewals or new business opportunities.
• When required, accompany producers during proposal presentations.
• Prepare binders, invoices, and other necessary documentation as needed.
• Obtain Premium Finance agreements and Surplus Lines Affidavits when mandated.
• Issue certificates of insurance and EPIs for both new and renewal policies.
• Process endorsement requests and fulfill other client needs, such as Auto ID cards and loss runs.
• Ensure thorough documentation is maintained by utilizing and organizing marketing files, maintaining accurate transactional filing notes, and keeping telephone logs.
• Track and manage daily suspense to follow up on items requested from clients and carriers (e.g., endorsements, loss runs, etc.).
• Regularly evaluate carrier solvency using the A.M. Best guide.
• Provide assistance to colleagues with coverage and service-related issues where your expertise could be beneficial.
• Preferred knowledge of Affordable Housing or Real Estate.
• A four-year college degree or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of four years of experience in property/casualty insurance.
• Familiarity with property/casualty coverages.
• Strong interpersonal skills, a customer-centric attitude, and the capability to function effectively as part of a team.
• Solid analytical skills for evaluating exposures, controls, loss history, and coverage gaps.
• Basic computer/data entry skills, with preferred experience in agency management, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
• Proficient in both verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
