
Commercial Kitchen Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Collaborate with restaurant and hospitality managers to provide comprehensive service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and various specialty food service equipment.
β’ Exhibit mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting abilities, and proficiency in reading diagrams and schematics.
β’ Accurately troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Commercial Kitchen Equipment, which includes cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other specialty food service equipment.
β’ Liaise with manufacturers as necessary to assist with diagnostics and parts identification.
β’ Consult with the Technical Assistance Group for technical support while on-site.
β’ Install all parts ordered for the customer promptly and professionally.
β’ Promote and recommend additional services offered by Smart Care to customers when appropriate.
β’ Generate precise and timely administrative documents, such as work orders, time reporting, receipts, and truck stock inventory.
β’ Adhere to safe work practices and accident prevention protocols.
β’ Keep a tidy and organized service vehicle, along with accurate parts and tool inventory.
β’ Maintain productivity levels in accordance with company standards.
β’ High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
β’ Minimum of 1 year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.
β’ Valid driverβs license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
β’ Willingness and ability to participate in the emergency on-call rotation, which includes nights and weekends.
β’ Availability for occasional overnight travel as assigned.
β’ Relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications (e.g., EPA, CFESA) are preferred.
β’ Experience in commercial refrigeration and/or commercial cooking equipment repair is preferred.
β’ Self-motivated with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal direct supervision.
β’ On-the-job training with access to on-demand technical support.
β’ Continuous formal hands-on and classroom training at our National Training Kitchen.
β’ Professional CFESA certifications with opportunities for advancement.
