This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.
• Collaborate with HVAC/R, restaurant, and hospitality managers to provide complete service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and various specialty food service equipment.
• Showcase your mechanical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and proficiency in interpreting diagrams and schematics.
• Efficiently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC/R and commercial kitchen equipment, which includes cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other specialty food service machinery.
• Engage with manufacturers as necessary to assist in diagnostics and parts identification.
• Consult with the Technical Assistance Group for technical support while on-site.
• Install all customer-ordered parts promptly and professionally, adhering to company policies.
• Promote and suggest additional services offered by Smart Care to customers when appropriate.
• Generate precise and timely administrative documents, including work orders, time reports, receipts, and truck stock inventories.
• Adhere to safe work practices and accident prevention protocols.
• Keep a tidy and organized service vehicle, along with accurate inventory of parts and tools.
• Maintain productivity levels that align with company standards.
• High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Willingness and capability to participate in the emergency on-call rotation, which includes nights and weekends.
• Availability for occasional overnight travel as required.
• Relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications (e.g., EPA, CFESA).
• Experience in repairing commercial refrigeration and/or commercial cooking equipment.
• Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Receive on-the-job training with access to on-demand technical support, as well as ongoing formal hands-on and classroom training at our National Training Kitchen.
