This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Accountable for the regular maintenance and repair of both contracted and non-contracted generator and power distribution systems.
• Offer technical assistance to clients regarding operational or maintenance inquiries.
• Engage in daily travel while independently managing work responsibilities.
• Provide 24/7 “on-call” services as necessary.
• Ensure the protection and upkeep of company-issued tools, equipment, and instruments.
• Conduct battery installations and replacements.
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance services for equipment under contract.
• Communicate availability status effectively to the corporate office.
• Keep the company vehicle in a safe and operational state.
• Accurately and promptly complete all necessary paperwork, including Field Service Reports, Time Sheets, and Expense Reports.
• Maintain technical documentation for review and study purposes.
• Minimum of three years of field experience in servicing generator systems, including experience with 500kw+ units.
• Skilled in preventative maintenance, retrofitting basic controls, performing minor ATS repairs, and load banking equipment.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent, along with related military experience or relevant field experience.
• Capable of performing triennial maintenance, engine diagnostics, fuel system priming, and replacing defective engine components.
• Possess an operational understanding of Automatic Transfer Systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting electronic schematics and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic systems.
• Experience with advanced generator and electrical system controls, including Woodward, Beckwith, and PLC equipment.
• Able to read and comprehend technical instructions, safety manuals, service manuals, and company policies and procedures.
• Competent in basic mathematical concepts.
• Must adhere to all safety standards.
