
Commercial Finance Business Partner – Hazardous Waste

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create pricing models and commercial strategies utilizing waste profiles, vendor costs, transportation requirements, and margin objectives.
• Evaluate customer profitability and cost-to-serve to enhance revenue growth and improve margins.
• Assist in new business initiatives, contract renewals, and tailor-made hazardous waste programs.
• Identify opportunities for rightsizing across service levels, volumes, and disposal methods.
• Collaborate across departments to assess opportunities and convert operational data into financial insights.
• Engage in customer discussions, articulating pricing structures, disposal alternatives, and cost factors.
• Confirm assumptions regarding waste profiles, volumes, and vendor pricing.
• Serve as a collaborator with internal experts on hazardous waste pricing, disposal methods, and TSDF capabilities.
• Track vendor pricing, market dynamics, and regulatory shifts to maintain competitive and compliant pricing strategies.
• Assist in risk management processes, audits, and financial evaluations.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline (CPA, CMA, or CA preferred).
• Over 5 years of experience in FP&A, business partnering, or corporate finance.
• Direct experience in environmental services, hazardous waste management, or commercial roles within the waste industry.
• Comprehensive understanding of hazardous waste profiles, waste characterization, treatment and disposal methods, and processing complexities.
• Strong financial acumen in profitability analysis, cost-to-serve calculations, pricing strategies, forecasting, and margin management.
• Proficient in Excel and financial modeling.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Capability to work collaboratively across functions and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a proactive, results-oriented approach.
• Experience with vendor management, TSDFs, or waste logistics.
• Familiarity with customer-facing pricing discussions or contract assistance.
• Project management experience or participation in operational enhancement projects.
