This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Accountable for the efficient, effective, and timely delivery of the Company’s services to a diverse customer base within a designated geographic area.
• Provided with a company van and tools, travels to various customer locations to maintain commercial properties.
• Executes preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Engages in direct interactions with customers to address their service needs.
• Applies a variety of trade skills, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, roofing, HVAC, and others as necessary to resolve maintenance issues.
• Completes preventative maintenance and repairs in accordance with work order specifications.
• Performs duties independently while adhering to company procedures, regulatory standards, and safety protocols.
• Conducts minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems (e.g., unclogs toilets and drains, repairs leaks in drains and faucets, replaces toilets and faucet fixtures as required, etc.).
• Undertakes routine painting and carpentry tasks to keep our Client’s facilities in pristine condition (e.g., repairs holes in drywall, prepares areas, and matches paint for a uniform, like-new appearance).
• Carries out minor electrical maintenance as permitted without a license in compliance with state regulations (e.g., repairs or replaces fixtures, wall switches, and outlets; replaces light bulbs, ballasts, and sockets as necessary).
• Completes service and asset inspections as required.
• Fully leverages technology (tablet, smartphone) to:
• Access and fulfill work orders, including notes on services rendered.
• Create and submit Service Reports and Quality Inspection images and documentation.
• Submit timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card logs.
• Procure necessary materials and supplies to accomplish all tasks.
• Fosters a positive atmosphere with the client, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Maintains prompt and consistent communication with customers and internal support teams.
• Completes required EFS safety and compliance training and participates in weekly safety meetings.
• Provides estimates for larger projects and services required by onsite customers.
• Performs additional duties as assigned or necessary.
• High School diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.), or Specialty Floor Care is preferred.
• Two (2) to Five (5) years of mechanical experience, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills required; or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Any combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the described duties and responsibilities, including related work experience in one or more building trades.
• Previous experience in the landscape, janitorial, or construction-related service industries is highly preferred.
• Must hold applicable certifications, licenses, and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, including safety policies and procedure manuals.
• Capability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Skill in effectively presenting information in both individual and small group settings.
• Complete assigned work orders promptly and communicate work order status through designated business processes.
• Proficient in using and operating handheld devices and business systems or document management database software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Adhere to all relevant codes, regulations, governmental agency guidelines, and Company directives related to building operations and workplace safety.
• Execute day-to-day repairs, emergency responses, and preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Maintain adequate knowledge of and comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and Company safety policies at all times.
• Experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
