Commercial Excellence Data Analyst – Finance Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop and improve financial and commercial reporting for Biosciences EMEA in preparation for the Transition Service Agreement exit.

• Assist in the mapping and migration of legacy financial and commercial hierarchies to the target model.

• Standardize metrics, hierarchy, and reporting definitions across both legacy and acquiring organizations.

• Oversee reporting for integration milestones, revenue continuity, and financial performance.

• Create and sustain recurring revenue, gross margin, product mix, and channel mix reporting across EMEA countries.

• Aid the EMEA financial close calendar, ensuring precise and timely outputs.

• Examine variances against budget, forecast, and prior year, providing explanations for performance drivers.

• Maintain datasets that support commercial forecasts and assess forecast accuracy.

• Offer financial data and modeling assistance for commercial proposals, investment cases, and deal evaluations.

• Analyze realized pricing, discounting, rebates, and free-of-charge activities.

• Support profitability analysis for instruments and reagents, including lifetime value and pull-through evaluations.

• Establish and uphold pricing and profitability metrics in collaboration with Strategic Pricing and Finance.

• Develop and maintain repeatable data pipelines and models for the EMEA reporting framework.

• Manage queries, scripts, models, and reporting logic in Git, utilizing branching, pull requests, and peer reviews.

• Streamline manual analysis processes with automated, repeatable solutions.

• Document data sources, logic, and processes meticulously.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial analytics, sales operations, data analytics, or a similar analytical role.

• Strong candidates with relevant internship or placement experience will also be given consideration.

• Experience in Healthcare, MedTech, Pharma, or Life Sciences is a plus.

• Proficient understanding of Power BI data modeling and report creation.

• Advanced skills in MS Excel, including handling large datasets, lookups, pivot tables, and Power Query.

• Capability to produce clear, executive-ready outputs in MS PowerPoint.

• Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries against relational data sources.

• Working knowledge of Python for data preparation, analysis, and automation tasks.

• Practical experience with Git, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and repository maintenance.

• Fluency in English is required.

• Proficiency in another European language is preferred.

• Willingness to travel occasionally within the EMEA region.
