• Negotiate, draft, and review commercial agreements, focusing primarily on customer AI SaaS master service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, data processing addendums, security, and AI terms.
• Collect internal feedback from various reviewers involved in the customer contracting process – collaborate with sales and business teams to identify requests and determine the most effective approach with internal departments to meet those needs.
• Safeguard customer data and personal information by ensuring contract terms comply with Outreach’s obligations under GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, UK privacy law, and the EU AI Act.
• Enforce the organization's contract policies and procedures.
• Aid in the evaluation and improvement of company document templates.
• Collaborate with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Deal Desk to gather internal feedback, resolve contracting obstacles, and expedite the time-to-close.
• Identify and implement enhancements to contract workflows, templates, and playbooks to boost efficiency as deal volume increases.
• Support additional legal team projects as required, including the negotiation of vendor and partner agreements.
• 3-5 years of legal experience, including at least 1-2 years concentrated on commercial SaaS agreements (in-house or at a firm representing technology clients).
• Direct experience in negotiating customer-facing agreements (MSAs, NDAs, DPAs, Order Forms).
• Familiarity with data privacy frameworks (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or equivalent).
• Capability to identify issues and propose practical, business-oriented solutions that balance speed with risk management.
• Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving environment.
• Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating resilience, humor, and dedication while maintaining a strong backbone when required.
• J.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the bar of at least one state in the United States.
• Proficient with customer and contract management tools (Ironclad, Salesforce, Docusign) as well as the MS Office suite, including advanced Word skills.
• Interest or experience in privacy, artificial intelligence (AI), the EU AI Act, and other emerging SaaS product topics is a plus.
