Commercial Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Review, draft, and negotiate a diverse range of commercial contracts for go-to-market teams.

• Review, draft, and negotiate agreements with vendors and suppliers.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts align with business goals and risk tolerance.

• Support Sales, Marketing, Partners & Alliances, and Professional Services teams.

• Offer clear and concise legal advice and guidance to go-to-market teams.

• Address legal and business risks while facilitating deal closures and nurturing internal partnerships.

• Develop and maintain deal enablement resources, such as agreement templates, playbooks, processes, and training materials.

• Work in tandem with the Legal team and cross-functional teams on significant projects and initiatives.

• Report directly to the General Counsel.

• Implement process and documentation enhancements while managing shifting priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Admission to at least one state bar in good standing.

• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts.

• Experience preferably in a technology, SaaS, or rapidly growing company environment.

• Capacity to exercise independent judgment in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.

• Ability to provide practical, solutions-focused legal advice while balancing legal risks with business objectives.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in influencing and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders.

• Familiarity with privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CPRA, and CCPA.

• Knowledge of U.S. federal government contracts is a plus.

• Strong preference for candidates located in the Pacific and Mountain Time Zones; candidates from the Central Time Zone must be willing to work in the Pacific Time Zone.
