• Oversee the complete contract lifecycle from initiation to conclusion, which includes drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing various commercial agreements.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual terms and conditions, reducing risks and nurturing advantageous relationships with all parties involved.
• Work in conjunction with internal departments such as Legal, Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Project Management to ensure that contract terms align with business needs and objectives.
• Perform thorough reviews of legal and financial documents to guarantee adherence to company policies, legal standards, and industry regulations.
• Negotiate contractual terms and conditions with customers, vendors, and partners to secure favorable results while preserving positive relationships.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential contractual risks, offering proactive solutions and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Track contract performance, key deadlines, and obligations, making amendments, extensions, or renewals as needed.
• Keep precise and organized records of all contract correspondence, documentation, and data.
• Provide guidance and training to internal teams regarding contract-related issues and best practices.
• Participate in the ongoing enhancement of contract management processes and templates.
• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Over 8 years of progressive experience in contract management, procurement, or a similar commercial role.
• Familiarity with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) business models and contracts; preference for candidates with over 2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
• Large Scale Electric Power / Utility projects
• Li-ion battery-related projects
• Strong knowledge of contract law principles and commercial terms.
• Proven negotiation and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) certification.
• A master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, JD).
• Experience with specific industry-related contracts.
