Commercial Auto Liability, PIP/No Fault Team Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Under the supervision of the Area Manager, the Claims Examiner III – Team Leader reports to the Claims Supervisor and/or Area Manager and is tasked with overseeing all elements of Auto Liability and PIP/No-Fault claims from initiation through resolution.

• Provides daily guidance and technical assistance to Claims Examiners, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance with best practices.

• Aids in the development of procedures for the American Arbitration Association to minimize costs and enhance processes.

• Conducts investigations for assigned claims in a timely manner.

• Engages with clients, claimants, providers, and vendors regarding claims-related issues.

• Calculates and establishes reserves in accordance with Company guidelines.

• Approves authority requests from direct reports for assigned claims and instructs them to seek authority as necessary.

• Settles and/or finalizes all assigned claims and secures authority as required.

• Maintains a diary system for case reviews and documents files to reflect the status and work being undertaken on assigned files.

• Communicates relevant information promptly to the Area Manager and clients to facilitate efficient claim resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferred).

• Three (3) or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Technical understanding of coverage, statutory regulations, and medical terminology.

• Strong technical knowledge of NF/PIP statutes in NY and NJ.

• Analytical skills.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to claimants, clients, and staff.

• Capability to interact with individuals at all levels within the business environment.

• Ability to independently and effectively manage highly complex claims.

• Proficient in Word and Excel (preferred).

• Active General Adjuster New York State License.
