Commercial Appraiser

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Conducting inspections of commercial buildings and gathering data on structural attributes.

• Performing in-office pricing based on field data and established industry methodologies.

• Engaging directly with clients to discuss the scope of projects and share findings.

• Collaborating with senior team members to enhance appraisal skills and create client deliverables.

• Carrying out field inventories of client movable equipment and assets.

• Possess strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills, including routine documentation.

• Be willing to travel for assignments, including out-of-state, 50%-70% of the time.

• Hold an associate’s degree or higher, or possess equivalent work experience.

• Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Excel.

• Bonus points for skills or experience in areas such as construction cost estimating, prior commercial appraisal experience, claims adjusting (property, vehicles, equipment, etc.), engineering or blueprint reading, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, property insurance underwriting and/or claims (commercial preferred), knowledge of the water/wastewater industry, or experience in public entity operations.
