This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Oversee the complete proposal development process for both standard and intricate industrial control system solutions.
• Analyze customer specifications, RFPs, and RFQs to deliver fully costed and technically customized bids punctually.
• Take ownership of financial aspects and risk management throughout the inquiry-to-order journey.
• Present proposals to the Commercial Review Board for necessary approvals.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, channel partners, and internal teams during the proposal lifecycle.
• Offer application engineering support and promote collaboration across various teams.
• Create competitive pricing models and deal strategies in conjunction with sales and pricing departments.
• Utilize quoting tools, technical documentation, hardware configurations, and design standards to craft distinctive solutions.
• Collaborate with supply chain, external providers, and implementation teams.
• Facilitate the transition from the inquiry-to-order phase to the order-to-remittance phase once the contract is signed.
• Enhance commercial processes, proposal templates, and application guides.
• Monitor proposal quality, cycle times, and metrics for on-time delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in technical sales, commercial proposals, or application engineering within the fields of industrial controls, power generation, or a similar technical area.
• Capability to read and understand technical specifications, customer drawings, and contractual terms and conditions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in presenting complex technical and commercial information to a variety of stakeholder audiences.
• Experience with industrial control systems such as DCS, PLCs, or SCADA is preferred.
• Knowledge of project risk management frameworks and commercial review procedures is preferred.
• Familiarity with managing tender schedules and multi-stakeholder bid processes is preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
