This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Join Intersect's Asset Management team to ensure that our datacenter infrastructure projects remain commercially viable throughout their entire lifecycle.
• Support the commercial integrity of operational assets by conducting performance analyses, maintaining essential documentation, and monitoring contractual and financial commitments that facilitate reliable operations.
• Collaborate with seasoned Asset Managers to gain insights into how technical agreements, commercial frameworks, markets, and asset economics converge to enhance long-term asset performance.
• Evaluate Commercial Performance.
• Assist in the commercial performance analysis and reporting for designated assets, ensuring that all data is accurate, complete, and delivered promptly.
• Create commercial summaries, financial reports, and performance tracking documents that enable informed business decisions.
• Cultivate an understanding of how datacenter infrastructure assets generate revenue, incur expenses, and create lasting value.
• Manage Commercial Obligations.
• Keep track of commercial obligations, performance metrics, notifications, compliance deadlines, and significant contractual terms related to equipment supply, EPC, O&M, interconnection, warranty, and master service agreements.
• Maintain documentation, lifecycle records, and decision histories for commercial commitments throughout asset operations.
• Identify and raise potential contractual issues, performance challenges, or compliance risks to the relevant commercial owner.
• Support Cross-Functional Execution.
• Aid in the implementation of commercial processes, reporting workflows, and Asset Management systems.
• Coordinate deliverables among Development, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and other internal stakeholders.
• Assist with asset onboarding, operational transitions, and the ongoing management of documentation to ensure consistent execution.
• Develop Financial & Commercial Knowledge.
• Establish foundational knowledge of project financial models, including revenue assumptions, cost drivers, and key sensitivities.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, invoice tracking, and variance analysis for assigned assets.
• Gain insights into how project finance structures affect commercial responsibilities and operational decision-making.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in commercial analysis, finance, analytics, infrastructure, energy markets, or a similar domain.
• Strong analytical abilities with outstanding attention to detail and a dedication to delivering accurate, reliable work.
• Capability to interpret financial models, commercial reports, and performance data with some guidance.
• Experience in maintaining organized documentation, trackers, and repeatable business processes.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative setting.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling successful collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to clean energy, infrastructure, datacenter facilities, or power markets is advantageous.
• A sense of curiosity, accountability, and a commitment to continuous learning will support you in building commercial expertise and assuming greater responsibilities.
