• Achieve or surpass sales targets while nurturing robust customer relationships.
• Clearly convey the benefits of GitLab to our commercial clients and prospects in the US Eastern region.
• Take full responsibility and act as the CEO for your designated book of business:
• Record the purchasing criteria and process, next steps, and responsible parties.
• Develop a strong sales pipeline through consistent prospecting efforts.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities to grow your territory.
• Promote the utilization of our solutions and strive to minimize churn and contraction.
• Collaborate with our partner ecosystem to generate new business and deliver value for our clients.
• Create an accurate quarterly forecast aligned with your plan and budget.
• Encourage attendance at our events, which you will participate in to network with current and prospective clients.
• Contribute to the analysis of root causes for wins and losses.
• Share insights and lessons learned with the team, including account managers, marketing, and technical teams.
• Assist in enhancing our sales handbook documentation.
• Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams like Customer Success, Renewals, and Sales Development to provide account leadership, ensuring favorable outcomes for customers during the pre- and post-sales phases.
• Represent the customer’s voice by submitting product suggestions to our public issue tracker.
• Master MEDPICC and Command of the Message for all sales opportunities.
• A genuine passion for ensuring customers gain value from their investment in GitLab.
• Proven experience in SaaS sales, particularly in pitching value to development teams (preferably in DevOps).
• Interest in GitLab and open-source software.
• Ability to leverage established relationships and effective sales strategies to achieve success.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
• Highly motivated, results-focused, and driven individual.
• Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
• Preferred familiarity with Git, Software Development Tools, and Application Lifecycle Management.
