This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Develop and implement sales strategies aimed at commercial clients.
• Take ownership of the full sales process, from prospecting to contract discussions.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to provide a smooth sales experience.
• Identify customer challenges and align appropriate solutions.
• Cultivate relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers.
• Lead account planning initiatives and track sales activities.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor products.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at business growth.
• Represent Kong with professionalism at industry conferences and events.
• Over 5 years of experience in commercial sales (companies with fewer than 1,000 employees).
• Established record of closing complex deals in a SaaS, cloud, or enterprise software context.
• Proven success in selling to small and medium enterprises.
• Strong consultative sales abilities.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
• Knowledge of open-source software, APIs, or infrastructure software is highly beneficial.
• Capability to excel in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
