This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Deliver individualized academic mentorship across a range of subjects and/or standardized tests, assisting students in recognizing their strengths, alleviating stress, and tackling academic hurdles.
• Partner with students throughout every phase of the application process, providing support on profile enhancement, essay ideation and refinement, application submission, test score strategies, and handling deferral letters.
• Ensure consistent communication with both parents and students regarding assignments, meetings, and advancements in their college application journey.
• A willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and a commitment to the position for at least one full academic year.
• 3-5 years of experience in college admissions consulting and direct interaction with students and their families.
• Demonstrated success in managing, developing, and/or executing intricate projects within tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• A Bachelor’s degree from a prestigious, nationally accredited university is mandatory.
• An academic background in the humanities is highly preferred.
• Outstanding writing skills.
• Excellent editing capabilities.
• Proficient communication skills with a diverse range of individuals, including executives, students, parents, and fellow coaches.
• Comprehensive understanding of the college admissions landscape and the requirements for students to gain entry into top-tier universities worldwide.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G Suite; familiarity with social media platforms is advantageous.
