Collections Agent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Examine and evaluate delinquent accounts to identify the most effective resolution strategy.

• Reach out to clients through phone and email to discuss their accounts and offer repayment solutions along with long-term objectives.

• Professionally and empathetically negotiate repayment plans with clients.

• Accurately and promptly document all client interactions and agreements in the company’s system.

• Perform skip tracing activities to find hard-to-reach or unresponsive customers using various investigative tools and techniques.

• Monitor accounts to ensure adherence to established payment plans.

• Work collaboratively with internal departments, such as Customer Service and Special Handling, to address complex account issues.

• Stay informed about company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to account resolution.

• Deliver outstanding customer service and support to clients throughout the resolution process.

• Recognize and escalate unresolved issues to the Operations Manager as needed.

• Engage in team meetings and training sessions to keep updated on industry trends and developments.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience in consumer collections.

• Strong understanding of financial products, services, and regulations.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to negotiate and resolve conflicts efficiently.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with CRM software.

• High level of integrity and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
