This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Investigate account receivable balances and take appropriate collection actions to resolve them swiftly.
• Address assigned correspondence and fulfill requests effectively.
• Review and manage requests in the correspondence folder.
• Conduct collection calls regarding outstanding claims.
• Detect and rectify billing discrepancies, short payments, unpaid claims, and cash application challenges.
• Spot potential risks and write-offs, and report them to management for escalation.
• Investigate payer refund requests and process refunds based on findings.
• Maintain comprehensive notes within the company software system.
• Identify issues and trends, escalating them to the Manager when additional support is required.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
• Ensure adherence to governmental regulations, third-party contracts, and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with branches, management, patients, and insurance providers.
• Conduct account analyses.
• Handle phone inquiries and assist patients with balance-related questions.
• Utilize portals and various electronic tools.
• Verify that claims are properly filed after the initial submission.
• Identify, escalate, and prepare potential payor projects for management and company representatives.
• Draft detailed appeals with necessary supporting documentation.
• Monitor follow-up and appeal deadlines for payors.
• Submit secondary claims.
• Prior experience in Home Infusion and Acute/Specialty Infusion Pharmacy is essential.
• Home Infusion experience is a must.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• An associate degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of solid collections experience is necessary.
• Familiarity with HCPC coding and medical terminology is important.
• Experience with CPR+ and Waystar systems is preferred.
• Strong math and writing skills are required.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities are essential.
• Capability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and multitask effectively.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
• Availability to work Monday–Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for a total of 40 hours per week.
