This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Assess accounts within the designated queue to determine the appropriate steps for addressing delinquent accounts.
• Oversee a complete portfolio of charged-off accounts with principal balances of $2,501 or more.
• Employ collection strategies and skip tracing methods to identify the correct parties.
• Utilize knowledge of credit bureau reporting (CBR) to enhance skip tracing and discussions with members.
• Recognize and provide resources to aid members in fulfilling their obligations.
• Negotiate payment terms, settlements, or arrangements using probing inquiries to understand and address objections.
• Set up and uphold payment arrangements that align with company standards.
• Dormant, close, and recommend actions on accounts according to established guidelines.
• Conduct second voice calls when necessary to support fellow collectors.
• Follow up on specific accounts to confirm that all actions have been completed.
• Assess unresolved accounts and suggest them for further review when appropriate.
• Engage in monthly continuous improvement training sessions.
• Maintain knowledge of the FDCPA and adhere to regulatory and company policies.
• Accurately and promptly document all activities related to accounts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in collections or sales.
• Strong understanding of credit bureau reporting (CBR).
• Familiarity with the FDCPA.
• Proficient negotiation skills.
• Capability to implement collection strategies and skip tracing techniques.
• Ability to adhere to regulatory and company policies.
