Collaborating Psychiatrist – Supervising Physician (MD or DO)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with seasoned PMHNPs to provide care for low- and medium-acuity psychiatry patients utilizing evidence-based methodologies.

• Perform chart reviews and offer timely advice on diagnoses, treatment plans, medication management, and clinical escalations.

• Review and approve prescriptions, including controlled substances when legally allowed and clinically suitable.

• Be available during designated working hours and at the conclusion of PMHNP shifts as required by state regulations.

• Mentor clinicians while upholding Legion's clinical standards, documentation requirements, and responsible-prescribing practices.

• Assist in broadening access to high-quality psychiatric care throughout the United States.

⛳️ Requirements

• An active, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

• MD or DO physician credentials.

• Board-certified or board-eligible in psychiatry.

• Strong skills in clinical assessment, diagnostics, and medication management.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Comfort with providing care remotely and utilizing electronic health record systems.

• A commitment to patient-centered, compassionate, and evidence-based care.

• Comfort in reviewing and authorizing prescriptions, including controlled substances, based on independent clinical judgment and relevant laws.

• Capability to operate within Legion’s clinical protocols.

• Active DEA individual practitioner registration is requested in the application process.
