Collaborating Psychiatrist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Provide clinical supervision remotely for our employed Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.

• Perform quarterly quality assurance with each Nurse Practitioner.

• Be available through text/email to address inquiries during business hours, Monday to Friday, with same-day responses required.

• Review charts and progress notes as mandated by state regulations and governing authorities.

• Additional supervision for Nurse Practitioners may be requested by the provider based on clinical necessity or the complexity of the Nurse Practitioner's practice.

• Complete a brief 1-page Google Document following monthly supervision for each collaborating Nurse Practitioner.

• Remain informed about company policies and program guidelines.

• Fulfill annual training obligations as stipulated by the HR department.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD/DO in Psychiatry.

• Possession of active and unrestricted licenses in Alabama, with a preference for residents of Alabama.

• Willingness to travel to Thriveworks locations in Alabama up to twice a year.

• A minimum of 3 years of practice experience (or 1+ year if board-certified or hospital-based).

• At least 2 years of experience supervising residents or mid-level practitioners.

• Must be willing to supervise a minimum of 4 Nurse Practitioners.

• No history of malpractice payouts, licensure disciplinary actions, or criminal/professional investigations in the last 5 years.

• Must hold a compact license or be prepared to obtain one, or be licensed in multiple states.
