Coding Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily functions of the hospital's inpatient or outpatient coding team.

• Supervise team members directly and manage their performance.

• Encourage precise, efficient, and compliant coding practices.

• Establish individual and team goals for staff development.

• Recognize opportunities for process enhancements.

• Assist in formulating action plans as opportunities arise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must live in the Eastern Standard Time Zone.

• An associate degree in health information management or a related discipline is required.

• Proficient in hospital inpatient coding utilizing ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS.

• Familiarity with MS-DRG and APR-DRG reimbursement methodologies is essential.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in inpatient or outpatient coding is necessary.

• Certification in RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CCS, or CPC is required.

• A bachelor’s degree in health information management or a related field is preferred.

• Preferred proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, HIM coding, reimbursement, and EHR systems.

• Preferred skills in report monitoring, data analysis, and trend identification.

• Preferred 3 years of coding experience.

• Preferred 1 year of management experience.

• RHIA or RHIT certification is preferred.
