Coding Specialist – Outpatient Surgical Coder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.

📋 Description

• Evaluates outpatient clinical documentation and assigns the corresponding codes

• Employs 3M 360 Finder for accurate code assignment

• Oversees and addresses rejected accounts on the Claims Edit Report

• Modifies patient financial accounts within the billing system

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent

• Successful completion of a formal educational program in coding

• Coding certification is mandatory from either AHIMA or AAPC

• 1 to 2 years of experience in outpatient coding or billing
