Coding Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develops and executes coding strategies while providing operational leadership to oversee coding processes.

• Manages staff, prepares budgets, and formulates strategic plans.

• Ensures quality assurance programs are in place and adheres to regulatory compliance.

• Provides guidance and leadership to Coding Supervisors.

• Enhances coworker performance through coaching, constructive feedback, and professional development.

• Oversees auditing and educational initiatives related to coding practices.

• Aligns coding operations with corporate objectives and standards.

• Engages in identifying problems and formulates effective solutions.

• Fosters a work environment that promotes coworker satisfaction.

• Serves as a nosologist to ensure accurate translation of healthcare data.

• Maintains advanced knowledge of coding software tools and process enhancements.

• Manages departmental budgets and expenditures efficiently.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management - Required.

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management - Preferred.

• 4 years of experience as a Coding Manager - Required.

• 4 years of experience as a Franciscan Coding Supervisor - Required.

• 3 years of coding experience - Required.

• Inpatient coding experience - Required.

• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) - Required - OR - Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) from AHIMA - Required.
