
Co-op Student – Heavy Civil Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Assist in meeting the administrative and logistical requirements of ongoing construction projects.
• Keep project schedules up-to-date and monitor deliverables on behalf of Project Managers and departmental leaders.
• Provide consistent reporting to various departments and corporate offices.
• Effectively communicate any concerns regarding project deliverables.
• Help in maintaining accurate and well-organized project records, logs, and files.
• Establish and nurture strong working relationships across all departments and organizational levels.
• Aid in the implementation and upkeep of the project Quality Management Program.
• Support the Quality Manager in carrying out inspections, audits, and field verification of construction activities.
• Document and monitor non-conformances, corrective actions, and quality records.
• Review and categorize material submittals, test reports, and certifications to ensure they meet project specifications.
• Assist with coordinating material sampling and testing in the field.
• Maintain precise and comprehensive quality documentation in compliance with contract and regulatory requirements.
• Aid in preparing quality reports for clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Co-op program in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a firm commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Capability to work independently while also following direction from multiple leaders.
• Strong organizational skills to manage several priorities at once.
• A proactive and solutions-focused attitude.
• Willingness and capability to work and reside at remote job sites in BC for the duration of the term.
• Familiarity with quality management systems or inspection practices is considered beneficial.
• A valid Class 5 Driver's Licence is regarded as an asset.
