CNC Programming & Manufacturing Engineer – SME

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, assess, and implement intricate multi-axis CNC programming (3-5 axis) using advanced digital manufacturing techniques.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to manufacturing engineers, technologists, and technicians.

• Facilitate a smooth technology transition from engineering to operational stages.

• Identify and execute engineering solutions to minimize cycle times and fabrication costs.

• Create innovative work-holding designs to enhance both legacy and new processes.

• Technical Leadership: Spearhead the Global Communities of Practice to establish and disseminate Standard Operating Procedures, manufacturing guidelines, and process maturity matrices for various machining applications.

• Collaborate with global teams to implement best practices and promote standardization of methods and equipment.

• Assist in the skill development and mentoring related to CAD/CAM software and advanced machining techniques.

• Possess strong problem-solving abilities and influencing skills to address manufacturing bottlenecks.

• Ensure that manufacturing processes align with customer specifications and internal quality standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 15 years of progressive experience in engineering-level projects involving complex manufacturing challenges, preferably in the aerospace industry.

• Proven experience in manufacturing, automation, DFM, optimization, and implementation within a production setting.

• Experience supporting multi-site or global manufacturing operations.

• Anticipated travel of 50% or more.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials Engineering, or relevant industrial engineering experience (or related field) is preferred.
