This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, assess, and implement intricate multi-axis CNC programming (3-5 axis) using digital manufacturing methods.
• Offer technical guidance to manufacturing engineers, technologists, and technicians.
• Ensure a smooth transition of technology from engineering to operations.
• Identify and apply engineering solutions aimed at reducing cycle times and fabrication expenses.
• Create advanced work-holding solutions to enhance both legacy and new processes.
• Technical Leadership: Spearhead the Global Communities of Practice to establish and disseminate Standard Operating Procedures, manufacturing guidelines, and process maturity matrices across various machining applications.
• Collaborate with global teams to implement best practices and promote method and equipment standardization.
• Facilitate skill development and mentorship for CAD/CAM software and sophisticated machining techniques.
• Exhibit strong problem-solving and influencing capabilities to alleviate manufacturing bottlenecks.
• Ensure manufacturing processes meet customer specifications and adhere to internal quality standards.
• A minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in engineering-level projects involving complex manufacturing challenges (aerospace industry).
• Proven experience in manufacturing, automation, DFM, optimization, and implementation within a production setting.
• Experience in supporting multi-site or global manufacturing operations.
• Expected travel of 50% or more.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Materials Engineering, or relevant industrial engineering experience (or a related discipline) is preferred.
