CNC Programmer, Catia

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Analyze engineering drawings to identify critical-to-quality (CTQ) features.

• Assess the effort required for programming each component.

• Create machining methods with conceptual tooling and prepare presentations.

• Generate CNC programs for tooling and components using CATIA V5 for 3 to 5 axis features.

• Validate the programs using Vericut as necessary.

• Assist with program prove-out and troubleshooting on the production floor.

• Aid in optimizing machining cycle times.

• Collaborate with customers on workload and delivery schedules.

• Provide weekly status reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in machining complex aerospace components using aluminum, titanium, and nickel-based alloys.

• Proficient in CNC programming with CATIA V5.

• Experience with Vericut for program verification.

• Basic part modeling skills in CATIA.

• Understanding of post processors and CNC 5-axis machines.

• Proven skills in machine prove-out.

• Capability to optimize processes through cutting tools, setup optimization, tool path optimization, etc.

• Ability to generate probing cycles.

• Knowledge of export control regulations.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer coordination.

• 6 to 10 years of experience in CNC programming.
