Cloud/DevOps Engineer – AWS, Kubernetes

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Design and ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of production infrastructure across various multi-cloud environments.

• Operate within a well-established cloud platform that spans multiple AWS accounts, with experience in GCP and Azure.

• Manage provisioning, networking, security enhancements, cost optimization, and on-call incident management.

• Play a key role in the ongoing evolution of a robust technology stack.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams and engage with both infrastructure and application layers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of practical experience in cloud operations.

• At least 2 years of experience with Kubernetes in live production settings.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools.

• More than 3 years of experience in Linux system administration.

• At least 1 year of experience in on-call or pager duty roles.

• Extensive, hands-on knowledge of AWS.

• Familiarity with GCP and/or Azure is advantageous.

• Knowledge of OpenStack is an added benefit.

• Practical experience with Java application servers, such as Tomcat and JBoss.

• Experience in MySQL database operations and administration (minimum of 2 years).

• Expertise in implementing and enforcing cloud security configurations, IAM access controls, and best practices.

• Understanding of cloud security standards (CIS, AWS Well-Architected, or equivalent).

• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash and Python (required).

• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
