Cloud Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Managing and overseeing extensive cloud infrastructure and servers within global data centers.

• Collaborating on various Linux server initiatives in partnership with multiple departments.

• Transitioning clients' on-premise servers to the cloud through data replication or backups.

• Evaluating and addressing server and network-related challenges raised by both internal and external users.

• Proactively monitoring the cloud instances that are supported.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background in Linux and virtualization technologies.

• Knowledge of virtualization technologies and the ability to troubleshoot virtual machine instances.

• Proficiency in monitoring systems and managing incidents.

• Experience with migrating from on-premise to cloud environments.

• Familiarity with configuration management and automation tools.

• Technical specifications:

• Server Systems - Linux

• Virtualization - KVM, Xen, or similar technologies

• Cloud Computing - Experience with non-Azure cloud platforms

• Cloud Migration - Familiarity with Veeam, Acronis, or equivalent tools

• Monitoring - Experience with Prometheus, Grafana

• Automation - Proficiency in Salt, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef

• Additional desirable skills:

• Cloud Orchestration - Experience with Cloudstack, Openstack, Proxmox VE, etc.

• Cloud Computing - Familiarity with both AWS/Azure/GCP and other cloud platforms (e.g., Rackspace, IBM Cloud)

• Block Storage technologies (iSCSI, SAN, NFS)

• Experience with Windows Server versions 2012, 2016, 2019, and Microsoft SQL.

• Knowledge of Cisco IOS/NX-OS or Juniper Junos.
