Cloud Solution Architect – AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee secure, highly available cloud architectures, primarily utilizing AWS.

• Develop identity and access management solutions, encompassing federated authentication, multi-factor authentication, and customer identity and access management (CIAM).

• Promote best practices in creating event-driven, serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, and various other AWS services.

• Create scalable data engineering platforms for ingestion, normalization, enrichment, and API-driven data integration by leveraging AWS services such as RDS, DynamoDB, S3, Glue, Athena, and ETL frameworks.

• Strategize and manage integration approaches for cloud contact center solutions like Amazon Connect with backend systems.

• Implement cloud security protocols with a focus on encryption, audit logging, GDPR/CCPA/FedRAMP compliance, and the principle of least privilege through IAM.

• Define and execute Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation to automate provisioning and configuration.

• Spearhead the development and maintenance of reusable IaC modules and best practices to ensure scalability, security, and compliance.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to incorporate IaC pipelines into CI/CD workflows for consistent and traceable deployments.

• Assess and enforce standards related to IaC code quality, security policies, and version control.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to convert business requirements into secure, scalable cloud and data solutions.

• Analyze emerging AWS cloud technologies to enhance architecture and operational efficiency.

• Produce documentation on architecture, including design decisions, tradeoffs, and security controls.

• Effectively communicate intricate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Over 10 years of professional experience in cloud architecture with extensive AWS expertise.

• Relevant AWS certifications (Solutions Architect (Mandatory), Security Specialty (preferred)).

• Demonstrated experience in designing identity management and secure access using AWS Cognito, IAM, and federation protocols (SAML, OIDC, OAuth2).

• Strong proficiency in serverless, event-driven architecture with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, and EventBridge.

• Experience in building and architecting data engineering platforms utilizing relational (PostgreSQL/Aurora RDS), NoSQL (DynamoDB), caching (ElastiCache/Redis), and ETL pipelines.

• Familiarity with cloud contact center solutions, particularly Amazon Connect, including integration strategies.

• Expertise in cloud security and compliance frameworks, encryption, data governance, and auditability.

• Practical experience with Terraform and CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code at scale.

• Proven capability to implement and oversee CI/CD pipelines involving IaC deployments and automated testing.
