Cloud Security Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create agent-driven workflows for the Cloud Security Plane, incorporating platforms such as a FedRAMP High Cloud-Native SIEM and a Tier 1 Agentic SOC.

• Design Triage Agents that process, enrich, deduplicate, and categorize large datasets.

• Construct Investigation Agents that perform governed, read-only, multi-step investigations and compile evidence bundles.

• Develop Reporting and Threat Intelligence Agents that retrieve, normalize, and draft operational reports.

• Convert intricate systems requirements, architectural documents, security control catalogs, and vendor specifications into production-ready autonomous AI tools.

• Implement AWS Well-Architected Framework Security Pillar principles and controls from NIST SP 800-53 / NIST SP 800-171.

• Evaluate agent precision, minimize false positives, and validate autonomous behavior at scale.

• Deliver frequently and take responsibility for the autonomous actions executed by the code.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid programming background in Python, Go, or TypeScript, with the capability to develop production-grade systems.

• Proven experience in AI/LLM, including autonomous agents, local model frameworks, or advanced coding-assistant workflows like Aider, agentic CLIs, or MCP-based tooling.

• Skill in translating complex systems requirements into functional autonomous AI tools.

• Knowledge of cloud-native security principles, encompassing identity management, logging pipelines, least-privilege design, and secure API interactions.

• Familiarity with agentic patterns, tool orchestration, multi-step reasoning, prompt-injection resilience, and autonomous workflow design.

• Strong reasoning and debugging abilities for assessing agent precision, decreasing false positives, and validating autonomous behavior at scale.

• Comfort in high-velocity, high-accountability environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Capability to obtain Security+ certification within the first year.

• All candidates must be authorized to work for any US employer within the United States.

• Must successfully pass a criminal background check.

• Preferred: familiarity with NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, FedRAMP High, SOC 2, CIS Benchmarks, and OWASP.

• Preferred: experience with AWS security and observability tools, including CloudWatch, Security Hub, IAM, and event-driven architectures.

• Preferred: experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible or cloud-native automation pipelines.

• Preferred: understanding of SIEM/SOC workflows, log ingestion, enrichment pipelines, and evidence bundle generation.

• Preferred: experience in designing or utilizing secure tool interfaces, including Model Context Protocol and governed API layers.

• Preferred: contributions to open-source AI projects, personal agentic labs, or published research.

• Preferred: knowledge of Zero Trust principles, secure software development practices, and cloud-native threat modeling.
